We have gotten off to a busy start to 2015 since Chinese New Year.
Thanks to guests who bought tickets to our Chinese New Year dinner.
We also ran an Orientation event for the University of Otago students.
The main event so far this year was the New Zealand Chinese Association Annual Sports and Cultural Tournament. This was known originally as the Double 10 Tournament and then the Easter Tournament and many of you would have memories of the Tournament in one or more of its forms over the years.
This year the Tournament was held in Dunedin and we had a dedicated team organising the event. They did a great job.
Entries for the NZCA Academic awards closed at the end of April and Otago has a very good record of success for our members winning awards and cash grants.
Looking forward we have an NZCA History book launch coming up, as well as the NZCA AGM and the return of Ventnor Artifacts to Te Papa.
I look forward to seeing you at our various functions and events that we support.
