While in the Far North for the blessing of the ground at the new site for the SS Ventnor memorial, we received a very short phone call notification that John Albert had found bones from the SS Ventnor. We at NZCA were not sure if he meant found on a beach or found on the wreck or what he meant, to be honest. Eventually, we came to discover what he meant when news broke about his discovery.
